The Anahata Chakra, located at the center of the chest, is the energetic gateway to love, compassion, empathy, and emotional balance. This heart chakra holds the potential to connect us deeply with ourselves, others, and the divine — and is one of the most powerful centers to activate through sound healing.
Whether you are a beginner or part of a Sound Healing Teacher Training Course (TTC), working with the heart chakra can lead to profound emotional transformation and inner peace.
What is the Anahata Chakra?
In Sanskrit, Anahata means “unstruck” — referring to the pure, untouched vibration that exists beyond physical sound. It is the fourth chakra, serving as a bridge between the lower three (physical) chakras and upper three (spiritual) chakras.
When balanced, the Anahata chakra brings:
Emotional openness
Unconditional love
Forgiveness and empathy
Harmonious relationships
A feeling of deep inner serenity
This chakra is often tuned and balanced using chakra sound healing techniques that use frequencies, bija mantras, and instruments like singing bowls, tuning forks, and gongs.
Signs of an Imbalanced Anahata Chakra
When out of balance, the heart chakra may exhibit:
Underactive:
Emotional coldness
Inability to trust or love
Loneliness and grief
Resentment or fear of connection
Overactive:
Co-dependency
Lack of emotional boundaries
Excessive people-pleasing
Smothering in relationships
In our sound healing therapies, these patterns are gently released through frequency attunement and deep vibrational work.

How to Balance the Anahata Chakra with Sound Healing
Here are powerful techniques we teach at Ananda Dhwani to awaken and align the Anahata Chakra:
Heart-Focused Meditation:
Visualize a glowing green light at the center of your chest. Inhale deeply and chant the bija mantra “YAM” — the seed sound of the heart. This simple sound healing practice activates the vibrational field of love.
Chakra Tuning with Singing Bowls:
We use special frequencies — such as 341.3 Hz or 639 Hz — during our sound healing therapies to harmonize the heart center and restore emotional flow.
Tuning Fork Therapy:
Weighted tuning forks applied on the sternum or heart meridian open energetic blockages and stimulate cellular healing. Learn how to apply these tools in our Sound Healing TTC.
Forgiveness and Letting Go:
A powerful heart practice is to release emotional pain through vibrational toning. Chanting, humming, or toning helps vibrate the chest cavity and release stored trauma.
Yoga and Heart-Opening Postures:
Combine breath with gentle backbends like Cobra, Camel, or Bridge to stretch the chest and enhance energy flow through the Anahata. When integrated with sound healing, the effects are amplified.
Crystals & Frequencies:
Rose Quartz and Green Aventurine carry natural frequencies that resonate with the heart. We often use them in combination with gongs and rainsticks during sound baths.
Living from the Heart Chakra
The Anahata is not just a point in the body — it’s a lens through which life is experienced. When you begin living from this center, your entire vibration shifts. You become more open, trusting, and accepting.
Our students often say the Sound Healing Teacher Training Course (TTC) helped them reconnect with their inner child, expand their emotional flexibility, and experience love in its purest form — for themselves and for life.
Train Your Heart to Hear Beyond Sound
At Ananda Dhwani, we don’t just teach sound as a healing tool — we teach sound as a way of life. Guided by the philosophy of Nada Brahma — the universe is vibration — our best Sound Healing TTC in Rishikesh offers students the opportunity to explore sound not just technically, but spiritually.
By aligning with the Anahata, you return to your true essence — a state of love, harmony, and resonance.
